Sea Eagle (Land) 2016 is one of this year’s major training events for the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps - Italy. It has been structured to test NRDC-ITA's deployable Command and Control (C2) capability. Following the principles of the "Command Post Concept" such as the deployment of the "Forward Coordinating Element (FCE) and the Initial Command Element (ICE) Capability Blocks", NRDC-ITA Staff will be able to test and validate the concept identifying any possible critical area that requires further refinement.
Solbiate Olona (VA). NRDC-ITA Staff concludes the two-weeks exercise “Sea Eagle (Land) 2016” during which the multinational Staff of the “Ugo Mara” barracks has had the opportunity to rehearse his activation procedures, setting the conditions to allow the Forward Coordination Element (FCE) and the Initial Command Element (ICE) to train their operational Command & Control capability at an early stage and test their deployment capability. The exercise has also given to NRDC-ITA Staff the opportunity to identify all the areas in which further refinements are possible.
