International Leadership Seminar organized by NRDC-ITA

The NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Italy organised and hosted an international seminar on Leadership at the NATO Command’s Milan headquarters, the Cusani Palace, on Tuesday 21st January 2020.  
An international panel of experts, both military and civilian, provided their insights in a variety of aspects, related to the importance of leadership, with implications to the military and civilian life.


The NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Italy organised and hosted an international seminar on Leadership at the NATO Command’s Milan headquarters, the Cusani Palace, on Tuesday 21st January 2020.  
An international panel of experts, both military and civilian, provided their insights in a variety of aspects, related to the importance of leadership, with implications to the military and civilian life. 
Effective leadership is fundamental to enable military operations, for missions overseas as well as routine operations. This seminar was an important opportunity for the NRDC-ITA staff to learn from the experiences of the varied panel of experts, discuss, share opinions and eventually better understand what contributes moulding successful leaders.
The expert speakers included:
1. Beatrice Venezi, Pianist, Composer and Conductor. 
2. Marco Mondini, Professor at the Padua University (Military History), 
3. Massimo de Leonardis, Professor at the Cattolica University in Milan (History of Treaties and International Politics);
4. Mattia Binotto, Managing Director and  Team Principal of Scuderia Ferrari;
5. Peter Caddick-Adams, Military Historian at the Cranfield University;
6. Sebastian O' Kelly, Author and Journalist; 
7. Tommaso Ghidini, Head of the Structures, Mechanism and Material Division of the European Space Agency.
The event was part of NRDC-ITA’s training calendar. The multinational HQ continues to act as an important training hub for Alliance and Italian military personnel, bringing military and civilian learning together for the benefit of both.
