LCC Units go on with Preparations for the Demo

CAPO TEULADA (CA) 12 OCTOBER 2004. As the NRF Demo Day is getting closer NRF land units are increasing their activities in Capo Teulada firing range. All the Land Component Command units, airborne, mechanized and alpini are conducting in place recce and checking all the details for the best course of action.

The Airborne Component Commander is looking closer the weather forecast for the freefall jump of his men; the Bersaglieri mechanized Commander has conducted on the ground walk with his platoon commanders to identify proper routes and coordination arrangements and finally the Light Alpini infantry commander briefs the Chinook helicopters pilots and instructs the Greek airborne platoon and the Spanish airborne squad ready to perform fast rope fall.

The huge Capo Teulada firing range is full of activities, airplanes, helicopters and vehicles crossing the area in a dusty atmosphere; you may see vessel approaching Porto Scudo harbor and Dutch, French, Italian, Spanish and Greek amphibious elements rehearsing the landing of the beach.

A joint atmosphere where many men and many nationalities are working together with a cooperative and supportive attitude.
