SOLBIATE OLONA (VA), 14 Dec 07. Lieutenant General Gay and senior officers welcomed representatives from the consulates of contributing nations to Ugo Mara Barracks today.
Recognising that HQ NRDC-ITA’s power lies in the blend of talents, expertise and experience afforded by its international make-up, LTG Gay wishes to further build on the strengths this multinationality provides.
He therefore invited representatives from those consulates located in the region who also have military personnel deployed at HQ NRDC-ITA, to visit him at Solbiate Olona.
As well as seeing their compatriots at work in the Headquarters, the visitors received a briefing on the roles and activities that HQ NRDC-ITA undertakes before retiring to the Officers’ Club to exchange Christmas greetings and enjoy and buffet lunch.
It is at this time of year that we reach out to family and friends says NRDC-ITA’s spokesman Major Graham Cable.We have undertaken a number of activities with the local community recently, and today we have focused not just on local links, but international ones also.
Our strength lies in our multinational framework and also in the support we receive, both from the local community and also the international organisations that are represented nearby.
