SANTA VISITS HQ NRDC-ITA!

SOLBIATE OLONA (VA), 13 Dec 07. The international community serving at HQ NRDC-ITA were treated to a visit by Santa Claus himself today.

Members of the international community wished to bring a little festive spirit to their base at Solbiate Olona and also to contribute something to their local community. The chosen recipients were a local organisation that provides facilities for disabled adults and children.

Money was raised by offering presents, kindly donated and wrapped by members of the international community and their families, for contributions to this very good cause.

The visit by Father Christmas inspired the Headquarters to donate an impressive €1000.

During the handover of the funds to the charity, Brigadier General Luigi Scollo, representing the Commander, said he was delighted to support this worthy cause and strengthen links with the local community.

For his part, Mr Pietro Magistrelli, the charity’s president commented that not only was he extremely happy to receive this kind donation, but also touched by the fact that HQ NRDC-ITA is thinking of all those that will benefit at this very important time of year.
