SOLBIATE OLONA (VA), 4 JULY 2011. The American Contingent at NRDC-ITA celebrated today their national day with Officers, Soldiers and personnel working in Ugo Mara barracks, Solbiate Olona. In his remarks, LTC Steve Wilson, the USA Senior National Representative, highlighted the uniqueness of celebrating Independence Day among friends and colleagues from many of the nations that played pivotal roles in the formation and development of the United States of America. Thanks for sharing this day of freedom, liberty and democracy with us with these words Lieutenant General Leonardo di Marco, the Chief of Staff of NRDC-ITA, pinpointed all the ideals which are the inspiration of our community: working together under the same flag to protect and pursuit this rights.

Afterward, guests were treated to a sampling of foods that are typically served at 4th of July celebrations in the US.
