SOLBIATE OLONA (VA), 12 JAN. 2011. The official ceremony to mark HQ NRDC-ITA’s command of the NATO Response Force (NRF) took place on 12 January 2011 at Ugo Mara Barracks, Solbiate Olona.

NRDC-ITA have assumed command of the NRF from the Eurocorps and will act as NATO’s high readiness force for the next six months. Leading the ceremony were General Gian Marco Chiarini, Commander NRDC-ITA and General Hans-Lothar Domrose, Commander Eurocorps. During the ceremony the official NRF standard was passed from General Domrose to General Chiarini to symbolise the formal handover of NRF responsibility.

NRDC-ITA have assumed command of the NRF commitment after a demanding year of training and exercises culminating in Ex STEADFAST JUNO 10 in December 2010.
