NRDC-ITA Eagle eye Seminar 2012

SOLBIATE OLONA (VA), 09 FEBRUARY 2012. Lt. Gen.Giorgio Battisti, COM NRDC-ITA, hosted the Eagle Eye Seminar 2012. This annual seminar is designed to maintain the situational awareness of the NRDC-ITA Command Group, affiliated unit commanders and staff, whilst promoting the critical examination of issues of relevance.

This year’s seminar focussed on Afghanistan with the topic of:

Afghanistan 2014: Setting the conditions for irreversible transition to full Afghan security responsibility and leadership.

Speaking at the seminar were Mark Sedwill CMG - UK Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, Lt Gen James Bucknall CBE - Commander Allied Rapid Reaction Corps, Maj Gen Tim Evans DSO MBE – Chief Lecture topics were wide ranging and covered key political considerations, the challenges facing ISAF, regional economic factors, Afghan institutional development and the plan and challenges of transition. of Staff Allied Rapid Reaction Corps, Dr Antonio Giustozzi and Dr Lorena Di Placido.
