Today, the Mayors of the Cities of the “Valle Olona” were received by Lt. Gen. Riccardo MARCHIÒ, NRDC-ITA Commander, at the “Ugo MARA” barracks. In his conversation with the guests, NRDC-ITA Commander, declared his satisfaction at the excellent quality of the longstanding relationship which the HQ has built with the local communities, thus represented on this special occasion by their respective Mayors. “At the end of the year – Gen. MARCHIÒ said – it is time to draw conclusions. We, as NRDC-ITA, have been doing a lot in 2015, but we are very aware that our success would not have been possible without the support given to us and our families by the local communities. So, in this day, I want to thank all the Mayors and of course the municipalities they represent, and wish a very happy Christmas and an even more fruitful 2016”. In this day, Lt. Gen. MARCHIÒ also met with NRDC-ITA personnel, thanking them for their commitment and encouraging enjoying with their family the festive season, getting ready once back to face new challenges.

Those events marked the end of a busy but successful year for the HQ: a year which the HQ achieved the validation as a Joint Command for the first time; one of the first NATO HQs to do so.
