Chief Operations Division Farewell

Today at the "Ugo Mara" Barracks, Lieutenant General Riccardo Marchio', NRDC-ITA Commander, attended the farewell of Brigadier General Manlio Scopigno.Brigadier General Scopigno was appointed as Chief of Operation Division on September 2014 and, since today, he has been involved in many activities, among them exercise Trident Jaguar '15, one of the most important training activities which has given to NRDC-ITA the validation as Joint Task Force Headquarters.

"I'm really satisfied of your leadership especially during the demanding period of NRDC-ITA validation as a Joint Task Force Headquarters, where you lead one of the most difficult and gratifying teams of this HQ." – said Lieutenant General Riccardo Marchiò.

Brigadier General Scopigno will be appointed as Chief of Staff at the European Union military operation in Southern Central Mediterranean in Rome, undertaking systematic efforts to identify, capture and dispose the vessels used by migrant smugglers and traffickers.
