Exercise Specification Conference at NRDC-ITA

SOLBIATE OLONA (VA), 18th October 2016. Last week, a three days conference was hosted by the Support Division at the NRDC-ITA barracks in order to identify the specification issues of the next NATO Exercise “Steadfast Cobalt 2017” - SFCT17. Organised by the J6 branch, participants from the most important NATO Commands in Europe made their key contributions to design this major NATO Exercise which aims to test the interoperability of NATO’s deployable communications systems within its Member Nations and improve the Alliance’s readiness in light of a changing security environment.

Next year NRDC-ITA is going to assume the role of Land Component Command LCC, leading a Very High Readiness Joint Task Force -VJTF- and the other combat units/multinational forces assigned. The conference posed the basis for all the main issues to be discussed at the next Initial Planning Conference, giving a significant contribute to arouse the main NATO Command contributors to better improve their efforts in it.
