Italian Armed Forces' Day

On November 4th, Italy celebrates its National Unity and Armed Forces Day. In the anniversary of the victory of WWI, Italy remembers the culmination of the process of Independency finally completed with the annexation of the cities of Trento and Trieste and pays honour to the 651.000 fallen that this terrible sacrifice imposed.

In his speech to the members of Italian Armed forces, Hon. Sergio Mattarella, President of the Italian Republic, remarked as the military instrument turns his attention to the preservation of the lives of our fellow citizens and to the international stability, highlighting quality and professional skills and working with allies and friends, to create an environment in which it can flourish peace and development of democratic principles and human rights, respecting the different cultures and sensitivities.
