General Miglietta meets the British Consul General

In Solbiate Olona, the Commander of NRDC-ITA hosts a visit of the British Consul General.

Solbiate Olona, 24 September 2020. At the Ugo Mara barracks, the operational headquarters of NATO Rapid Deployable Corps-Italy, Lieutenant General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta welcomed Mrs. Catriona Graham, Her Majesty’s Consul General of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The event was fruitful for an update on the current delicate geo-strategic situation, mostly on the eastern flank of the Alliance, as well as the activities carried out by NATO during the COVID-19 emergency. Furthermore, the meeting was particularly encouraging in terms of strengthening ties with the British consular representative who, as a founding contributor to NRDC-ITA, provides the NATO Command in Milan with essential staff for its multinational composition. The bond between Great Britain and Italy will strengthen in the coming months, when NRDC-ITA will cooperate with the ARRC (Allied Rapid Reaction Corps) for exercise Loyal Leda 2020.

NRDC-ITA, the NATO Command in Milan, continues to improve ongoing collaboration with international institutions as well as enhancing its support to the local community. These activities are of great importance for NRDC-ITA, confirming its readiness and ability to support the Alliance's policies, both in tackling crises and in promoting international stability.
