NRDC-ITA Staff considers Media Disinformation During the COVID-19 Crisis.

Professor Julian Lindely-French discussed media disinformation in the age of COVID-19, as well the strategic consequences for nations NATO.

Milan 15 April 2020. As part of the on-going professional development programme and continuous horizon scanning, NATO Rapid Deployable Corps Italy (NRDC-ITA) personnel took part in a video conference titled COVID-19: Disinformation and the strategic implications.

This vitally contemporary topic was presented by Professor Julian Lindely-French, a leading strategic analyst, commentator and renowned published author.

Having previously advised strategic leaders across the globe Prof. Lindely-French joined the NRDC-ITA staff via video link to speak about thedangers of media disinformation, during the current crisis. Topics for discussion included the exploitation of events by hostile actors and the prevalence of misinformation with strategic implications for western nations and NATO.

During a distinguished career, Prof. Lindely-French has served as Vice-President of the Atlantic Treaty Association in Brussels, as Senior Fellow at the Institute of Statecraft, Director of Europa Analytic and as a member of the Strategic Advisory Group of the Atlantic Council of the United States.
